Chaos Theory came together in the fall of 2024 to share our love of barbershop, harmony, and camaraderie. Our name, and our mantra, is inspired by chaos theory, a key concept of which is that a small change can result in an unexpected and wonderful outcome. Ashley, Jane and Sherri, long-time members of Women of Note chorus, previously sang together for 12 years in another quartet. Dianne, a Harmony Queen, has been a member of several HI and BHS choruses and quartets, as well as community ensembles, over the years. We competed together for the first time at AC&C in 2025 and are looking forward to continuing to grow together and entertain audiences. Check us out on Facebook!

A newly-formed quartet that first sang together in 2024 for a holiday performance and enjoyed our time together so much—enough that in 2026, we decided to officially take the leap into Harmony Inc's Area competition! Each of us has been proud members of the Women of Note chorus at various points along our musical journeys, uniting us with shared values and culture. We're beyond excited to compete, grow together, and share our love of barbershop harmony! 

After years of friendships, rooming together at contests, and late night conversations after rehearsal, someone joked that it would be fun to sing together. It was a joke because we consisted of 2 basses, a baritone, and a lead… but immediately the plotting began. The lead offered to sing tenor. Or perhaps everyone could take turns singing lead! And take turns learning baritone! We could experiment, try new parts, challenge ourselves, and learn a lot! Thus Mixed Madness was born. We are friends who support each other as we are challenged to learn and grow, who celebrate with each other on our successes and accomplishments, who love making music together, and who are having a ton of fun along the way. 

Formed in 2025 as a pickup quartet for a Voices United chorus' Quartet-A-Palooza, Notably Lit was born from one simple realization: we had way too much singing together to stop. What started as a fun musical night quickly became a quartet built on passion, energy, and a shared love of ringing chords.

In April 2026, we're excited to step onto the contest stage with both BHS and HI for the first time! You can catch us competing at Harmony Inc.'s Area 2 Convention and BHS' Northeastern District's Regional Spring Convention. 

We're thrilled to be learning, growing, and sharing music together and we can't wait to see where this adventure takes us. 

For the Record formed in January 2026 with the goal of participating in the Area 2 Contest and Convention as a learning and development experience.  We have since found that we truly enjoy each other's company!  Kim, Marianne, and Julie are all current members of Women of Note.  Rita is a valued former member!   Although our lead is moving away in June, we value the time we have on our musical journey!
